Quality in Construction Award: Asphalt Pavements under 50,000 tons

Quality in Construction – Under 50,000 Tons

Over the last 2 decades, Duval Asphalt has received almost 60 Quality in Construction awards for paving projects all over Northeast Florida.

NAPA’s Quality in Construction Awards recognize exemplary quality asphalt pavements. All pavements – roads, highways, commercial parking lots – are eligible for a Quality in Construction Award. This award recognizes asphalt pavements that use less than 50,000 tons of asphalt in the project. After undergoing testing by NCAT’s pavement engineers, the top 10 general paving projects will be honored with the Larry H. Lemon Quality in Construction Award. The project must have utilized a minimum of 5,000 tons and have tests conducted for all mix property factors — No. 8 and No. 200 Sieves, AC Content, Plant Air Voids, and Density — that are listed in Section V Plant Manufacturing and Paving Process to qualify for the Larry H. Lemon Award.
