I-95 Resurfacing: Moncrief Creek to Edgewood

Resurfacing and roadway improvements on approximately one-mile of I-95 from just south of the Norwood Avenue (State Road 115) northbound off-ramp north to Edgewood Avenue West (State Road 111).

The project includes milling and repaving the roadway, the on- and off-ramps at the Norwood Avenue/Lem Turner Road interchange and the northbound off-ramp and southbound on-ramp at Edgewood Avenue West. In addition, the northbound Norwood Avenue off-ramp deceleration lane will be widened and extended approximately 600 feet.

Project safety improvements include the installation of a new signalized intersection on Lem Turner Road at the I-95 southbound on- and off-ramps. The new intersection will feature crosswalks and sidewalks, and deck lighting will be installed under the overpass.

Work along the project limits also includes shoulder treatments and repairs, drainage improvements, curb and gutter repairs, guardrail replacements where needed, new LED highway lighting and other incidental construction.

Contractors will work weekdays from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weeknights from approximately 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Southbound and northbound single and occasional double lane closures will be scheduled throughout the duration of the project, but not during peak driving times or on holidays or special events. Ramp lane closures and detours will be scheduled during evening hours.
