Duval Asphalt Employees Complete Forklift Training Course

Recently over 20 members of Duval Asphalt’s team completed Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training at the Philips Highway location. Participants were all employees who drive and operate a fork truck on the job.

It is Duval Asphalt’s policy to maintain and enforce this PIT training and inspection program. Its purpose is to reduce risk and decrease potential fork truck related incidents and is required every three years of all employees who operate fork truck or bobcats (with extensions).

After completing the training all participants are able to operate a fork-truck, complete truck inspections, understand the maintenance of the trucks and different types of trucks as well as understand the emissions and hazards related to the fork trucks.
