A $4 million improvement project on Roosevelt Boulevard (U.S. 17) began August 12, 2014 and will continue through spring.
Florida Department of Transportation selected Duval Asphalt Products, Inc. as contractor for a resurfacing project from Timuquana Road to Woodmere Street.
Intermittent lane closures during the day from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday are primarily for drainage and concrete work. Nighttime lane closures from 6 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday through Sunday will begin in September for resurfacing.
Work includes drainage improvement, traffic signals, guardrails, sidewalks and bicycle paths.
Motorists should use caution when traveling through the construction site. For the safety of our workers, speeding fines are doubled as required by state law when workers are present.
